Voting and reporting achievements

3 min read

Voting and reporting help keep the Community Catalog useful.

You do not need to create achievements to help. Reacting to existing ones is already useful.

Upvote

Upvote an achievement when you think it is good.

An upvote is a simple quality signal.

That usually means:

Upvotes help other players notice strong achievements.

They also help curators see which achievements may be good candidates for the Showcase later.

Downvote

The downvote isn’t really a downvote — it’s structured feedback.

Use it when you think an achievement has a problem and you want to explain what should be improved.

When you downvote, you can select a reason and add a suggestion.

Common reasons include:

This makes downvotes more useful than a simple negative score.

A “good” downvote explains the problem and helps improve the achievement.

Add a suggestion

If you know how the achievement could be fixed, add a short suggestion.

You do not need to rewrite the whole achievement.

One clear note is enough.

For example:

This should mention that it requires the expansion.

Or:

The idea works, but “play a super strong card to win the game” should be replaced with a clear condition.

Or:

This feels more like Silver than Gold because it only needs a small restriction.

Good feedback helps the moderators to understand the issue faster.

When to upvote or downvote

Use upvote when the achievement works well and should be easier for others to notice.

Use downvote when the achievement needs improvement and you can point to a reason.

Do not downvote only because the achievement is not your style.

Some achievements are niche, difficult, funny, or meant for experienced players. That does not automatically make them bad.

Downvote when there is a real issue with the achievement.

Reporting

Reports are for problems that should be reviewed separately from normal feedback.

Use a report when an achievement:

Reports help moderators deal with problems that should not be solved only through votes.

An achievement does not need to be perfect from the start. Clear feedback helps good ideas improve.

FAQ

Is a downvote the same as an upvote?

No. An upvote is a simple quality signal. A downvote is structured feedback. It asks for a reason and can include a suggestion for improvement.

Should I downvote something just because I would not play it?

No. Only downvote when the achievement has a clear problem. If it is well written but not your kind of challenge, you can simply leave it.

What should I write in a suggestion?

Write what would make the achievement clearer, fairer, or easier to use. Keep it short and specific.

Do downvotes remove achievements?

No. Downvotes are feedback. They help show what may need work.

When should I report instead of downvote?

Report when the issue is more serious, such as spam, abusive content, duplicates, wrong game, or an achievement that clearly cannot work.

The Community Catalog gets better when players care enough to react.

Upvote what works. Add a suggestion for good ideas with rough edges. Report what belongs somewhere else. Small feedback today can help tomorrow’s achievement hunter find a better challenge.
